Apply a Bionic Reading Style to Google Docs

Introduction

Bionic reading is a reading technique that uses a special font to highlight the most important words in a text. This is done by bolding the first and last letters of each word, making it easier for the reader to identify the key points.

You can try this feature called Bionic Reading in OneScript for Google Documents to apply a similar effect.

Installation

Install from Google Workspace Marketplace

Instructions

You can simply select any text on your document, open “Bionic Reading” from the OneScript sidebar, change the primary color and secondary color if you want. Finally, apply the effect to the selected text. If you didn’t select any text on the document, the whole document will be applied.

  • Primary Color: a hex value color for the 1st half of the word
  • Secondary Color: a hex value color for the 2nd half of the word
